I didn't know that this song was originally released in 2005 and re-released June 2007. From wikipedia:

This is a great fictional song titled Samson by Regina Spektor. The song is subjected to different interpretations based on the biblical character of Samson. Or could also be referring to someone you love, presented as metaphor of Samson.

Maybe it's just me. But ever since Evanescence released their second album "The Open Door", found out that Ben Moody (co-founder) has left the band (well, apparently due to creative differences or hmn...falling out with Amy Lee), something in their sound has been lacking. Amy Lee's archaic beautiful haunting voice is still there, but the music lacks the soul of Evanescence. I miss Ben in it.

O well, yesterday I got reminded of this version I liked better than the one they released on their album, "Fallen".

My favorite song of Foo Fighters to date! From their latest album - "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" released last September 25th, the song just grips you from its initial slow melody to a full blast rock sound!

Once in a while, I post my favorite music here basically to reflect my tastes, my mood, and my love for different genre.

And it's a fresh feeling if I get to hear this song while malling here in Malaysia (something I often hear in Manila). Maybe because I've experienced eating in some of the resto's here and guess what songs they play? Songs of of Lionel Richie, Air Supply...and gosh what else....Laura Brannigan?

My top pick of the week. Well..not a brand new song....yet it does add to all drama to my busy hellish work life nowadays.

I liked when it was released way back 1998 from the album Reload..a sequel to a more popular song The Unforgiven. And the lyrics? Quite abstract as compared to the first one.....but nevertheless..still haunting...still dramatic....still spiritual.
